Heat transfer oil systems use valves to control oil flow throughout the system and regulate pressure levels. At EnviroValve & Controls, Inc., we design and develop high-quality valves for controlled fluid flow, efficient heat exchange, and compliance with safety standards and regulations. Our valve product line meets the needs of heat transfer oil systems, industrial gas systems, hot or cold water systems, and more. Learn more about the types of valves we offer, their unique benefits, and the industries we serve.
Types of Valves We Offer
We offer multiple valve styles in various materials and specifications to control fluids and gases across a wide range of temperatures, pressure levels, and flow rates.
Globe Valves
Globe valves have an S-shaped interior pathway for precision flow control and a plug that rises or lowers as the stem turns. The globe moves based on the operator’s adjustments, providing excellent throttling. However, its pressure drop is typically higher than that of a gate valve. Globe valves work well with a variety of fluids, including viscous heat transfer oils in high-temperature heat transfer oil systems.
Gate Valves
Gate valves have straight flow pathways that operators can shut by lowering a gate. The straight path minimizes flow resistance, and the simplicity makes the valve very reliable, even for infrequent cycling. Gate valves work best for on/off control and complete isolation because the gates can quickly and completely block fluid, even in large-diameter oil and gas pipes.
Ball Valves
Ball valves are reliable on/off control valves. With just a quarter-turn, the valve can switch from an open to a closed position, offering tight sealing for small-diameter pipes. Ball valves are popular for their low maintenance and good sealing capabilities in high-heat applications.
Butterfly Valves
Butterfly valves efficiently control high-volume oil flow in large pipes. The lightweight, compact winged shutting mechanism can also handle steam lines where weight and space are concerns.
Check Valves
Check valves are simple one-way valves that prevent backflow. Not only can they protect sensitive equipment against backpressure and damage, but they also prevent the risk of contamination.
Pressure Relief Valves
These valves release gas or liquid when pressure levels get too high, keeping internal pressures within safe ranges.
Thermostatic Mixing Valves
These valves have multiple input ports so they can blend different temperatures of water and create a safe output flow that doesn’t exceed safe temperatures.
Steam Traps
Steam traps lock steam inside a closed heat system while removing condensate and other gases. This eliminates water hammer and improves efficiency.
Key Design Features
At EnviroValve & Controls, we build each of our products for long-term value and effectiveness. Key design features for our heat transfer oil system valves are:
- Durability. We use brass or steel components to resist corrosion, thermal degradation, and physical damage. CPVC components also offer resistance to corrosion and high temperatures.
- High-temperature seal. Our gaskets and graphite or PTFE packing can operate in high-heat environments and won’t degrade with oil exposure.
- Insulation. We provide optional jacketing materials for insulation and temperature control.
- Compliance with quality and safety standards. Our valves comply with NSF, ANSI, or WRAS standards for potable water, as well as ASME, API, or DIN standards for safety. We also maintain ISO certifications.
- Leakproof shutoff. Using high-quality seals made of EPDM or PTFE, each valve provides tight shutoff to minimize leaks.
- Actuator options. We offer pneumatic, manual, and electric actuation for remote control and automation needs.
- Easy maintenance. Easily inspect or service each valve.
- Clear pressure ratings. Each valve has clear pressure ratings so you can match them to the right low- or high-pressure application.
- Easy operability. We offer automated controls, manual handles, and more.
